Are these two separate apps?
Yes. SongDuel: Rank Your Music builds your personal song rankings and Apple Music playlists. SongDuel: Own the Ring is a multiplayer game with rounds, song votes, and player standings. They share the SongDuel brand, with different ways to enjoy your music.
Which one can I download today?
Rank Your Music is available on the App Store. Own the Ring is coming soon to the App Store; a release date has not been announced here.
Do I need Apple Music?
Both apps use Apple Music for song selection. Rank Your Music connects to your library and playlists. Own the Ring uses Apple Music songs for battles. An active subscription, music authorization, and regional track availability affect access and playback.
Do I need a TV to play Own the Ring?
No. Play together in the same room or remotely on your iPhones. A compatible external display adds the shared TV presentation while players choose and vote on their phones.
